I may be growing optimistic here. SOMEONE STOP ME.

On one hand, Cliff Chiang is a great artist.

On the other, Azzarello, I'm pretty sure that you're writing Wonder Woman wrong.

How is the Greg Rucka run of Wonder Woman so inspiring and satisfying, all in one? I'm halfway through his run on WW, and I feel like I don't ever need to collect another WW issue, because Greg Rucka has written all I need.

Goddamn, I want to have this guy's literary babies.

Batwoman made it to the third round of the Kick Ass Tournament! \o/

Comics. Dude, they are such a mixed bag. dungeonmarm and I went to Hastings to read through all of the 52 issues that have come out, so a couple of quick things about them.

For the sake of ease, I'm going to split my sales posts into two. One is going to be for collectibles, and this one is going to be for comics.

So, without any further ado, comics are for sale here.

Things to know

1. Every comic here, unless stated otherwise, is in Near Mint condition.

2. I prefer to sell things in lots. If I have an entire series, I prefer to sell it all together. Sets where I'm missing one or two I'm willing to let go singly.

3. Unless stated otherwise, each comic is one dollar ($1) a piece.

4. I will not pay for shipping. If you're interested in buying something, comment and I'll put the item on hold for you until I can give you a correct accounting with shipping costs. I will combine shipping.

5. This is going to be a simple list, with pricing included. If you'd like a picture or two (or three) of an issue, let me know and I'll be happy to take some for you.

6. The dates of each series year are included.

7. I would prefer to be paid via Paypal. If you can't pay with Paypal, email me the details and we'll see what we can do. :) I will send out the items the next business day after payment receipt.

I really feel like I've been wandering in a fog of blah over the last two weeks. I've been feeling like this for months, and I am so baffled and uncreative and barely existent.

Anyway!

My comics guy talked me into JLA #1, and even though I've never collected it before, I decided why the hell not, right? And it's got Batman being mean to Hal Jordan, who quite honestly is my least favorite GL, and it has Hal completely SHOCKED that Batman really exists. :D As the solicits keep coming out, my list of comics has increased. For now, my comics list is as follows:

Hn. Apparently I like my Bats. Who knew? But there's also Detective Comics and Batman and Robin, which I don't think I'll be collecting. Still. SEVEN! Comics, you are expensive!

I also rented Crisis on Two Earths, since I've never watched or read any previous JLA, and that movie was both touching and fun. It was a good choice. Now, if I could only find the Wonder Woman movie, I'd be even happier.

My dad is in Oklahoma right now, and due to come home later today, so I'm intending on cleaning the cat litter and doing the dishes, and maybe a little dusting. dungeonmarm helped me take pictures of all the stuff I'm going to be selling, so if anyone's interested, a list should be up in the next couple of days.

This week, I saw my family and got treated to Enforced Racism Hour by my Uncle Steve, had breakfast burritos for dinner on Thursday, and then Friday we all went down to the Conway Supper Club, where dungeonmarm and I sang in the audience to people who couldn't sing/were too drunk to sing correctly, and I got buzzed on daiquiris. It was fun, even though every time I go there, my hair and clothes smell like smoke. Saturday, we had a nice, lazy day at work, and then we hauled all of my stuff that I'm selling over to dungeonmarm so he could help take pictures of everything. Then we watched the final Broadway Rent performance on DVD, which made me cry a lot because I'm like that.

I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes last night, and as I suspected--since everyone and their mother has been raving about this movie--it was very good. I was pleased.

So. Reading dcwomenkickass_feed and came across this.

In conclusion: Do you know why you're losing readers, DC? BECAUSE YOU SUCK.

Now for the rant. Today's rant is about the marriage of Storm and the Black Panther. I'm coming at this as an X-men fan, and although I'm familiar with the rest of the Marvel Universe, the mutants are my home. Now that the disclosure is over:
