You know what I hate?

When bad managers say 'If you don't get better at X thing..then SOMETHING is going to have to happen.'

Yeah, like, what? Fire me? Demote me? If you're going to threaten me, you should do it for real, and while we're on the subject, calling me out on something you think I've done wrong in public, during the time I'm STILL TRYING TO DO THE JOB YOU THINK I'M SHITTY AT? Not cool.

I really need a new job. Like, yesterday.

So, while Zarita and I were on the way to see Rise of the Guardians (me for the fourth time, Zarita for the first) we got into a car accident on the interstate.

We're both fine, but her car is totaled. Honestly, looking at Zar's car, I'm surprised we came out of it as good as we did. I have some serious seat belt bruising, and some aches and pains, but I'm okay. She is too.

My dad is soooooo drunk.

Case in point:

Dad: I had some drinks because I didn't have to drive.

Me: I can tell.

Dad: I had some drinks and now I'm HAPPY.

Me: It's kind of sad, because you're making it sound like you're happy for ONCE in your LIFE.

Dad: LOLOLOLOLOL *hugs me* IT'S NOT SAD. IT'S HAPPY!

Okay, dude. So, if you haven't heard about this Friend Blab thing, consider yourself lucky, because I heard about it as I woke up. I'm going to link to havocthecat's journal, because it's clear and concise and tells you exactly what's going on because she's awesome that way.

The main thing is, Friendblab is reposting people's content. I've never heard about it before today, and I'm on it, with content plastered all over my timeline. From what I've read, it skims your journal and then all of your friends, so it's a big sucky mess. It only looks like my DW information is on there, and not my LJ (which doesn't matter, since they're both crossposted.)

Since I have so few people friended, I took the liberty of clicking on all of my friends' names and finding out which ones had content. Here's a list.

I'm reading an e-book on self-publishing, because I want to get serious about my own original work, and they linked to an awful youtube video in which a monkey at a zoo ( cut for triggers )

ANYWAY, I just now understood the connection when I read the title of the book. Be the Monkey - E-books and Self-publishing: A Dialog Between Authors Barry Eisler and Joe Konrath.

So, what? ( The moral of the story? )

This makes me keysmash. I'm so pissed.

I've imported my moriavis and my dark_twilight journals into my lunesque journal. In addition to marveling at the ginormous tagging adventure that sits before me, I also have to wonder—
