So.

If one were inclined to begin the arduous and frightening proposition of vidding, what program might you suggest for ripping episodes from dvd?

So, Artemis died about fifteen minutes ago. Um.

I'd kind of expected it to happen tonight, because while [personal profile] dungeonmarm and I were watching Doctor Who, she threw up all over herself and didn't have the strength to move or clean herself up or do anything but collapse in a heap. After [personal profile] dungeonmarm left, I gave her a bath to clean her up and held her for the rest of the night. She had a seizure at three o'clock and then faded away.

I hope she was comforted by having me there? I don't know. I keep crying, which, you know, I expected. But now I'm not sure what to do next. I'm not sure if I should bury her or find some other way to take care of her, and Alex keeps running around the house trying to find her and I'm so tired and not really ready to deal with this yet? Even though I was expecting it? IDK.

She's not suffering anymore. That's the important part.

Several weeks ago, [personal profile] dungeonmarm and I were talking about OTPs. We went through a few of them (for me, for example, Draco/Blaise and Mary Margaret/Emma fall under OTP for their respective fandoms.)

For Jon, I think the closest one we came to was Sam/Frodo, from LotR. (I've been informed it was actually Christian/Satine from Moulin Rouge.) For me, it ended up being Cheri/Job from Violent Messiahs that took the crown of true OTP.

So now, I present the question for you.

Out of everything you ship, out of all of your OTPs for your fandoms, what ship do you love more than all other ships? What is your truest OTP?

NaNoWriMo begins tomorrow!

Also, a lot of people are talking about posting their work on their journal as they go. I've never done that, but would any of you be interested in being spammed with chunks of original writing over the course of the month?

Yesterday, [personal profile] dungeonmarm and I got in the mood to watch ghost movies. Specifically, found-footage ghost movies.

When those ran out, we resorted to terrible shows like Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters: International. GH: I involved Chillingham Castle and St. Mary's Close, in Edinburgh.

Tumblr has told me that the Virgina GOP is calling for armed revolution if President Obama is re-elected in November. (The link is to the GOP newsletter.)

Okay, okay, wait. Stop me if I'm wrong, but isn't that treason? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?

Also, I don't know why, but I seem to have lost the ability to watch streaming video while browsing in Firefox. Youtube won't work, and neither will embedded videos. Any ideas?

I've been complaining recently how I don't read anything anymore, because I'm a freak and I'm hardcore elitist.

Problem is, I really, really want to read something engaging.

So I throw myself on the mercy of my dw circle/flist—give me a list of your favorite books!

I'm traditionally a big fantasy fan, but I'll read anything, honestly. So give me a list of things you like to read, your favorites, books that make you happy. Maybe they'll make me happy too!

I'll even start, just to give you guys a treat. My current favorite author is Carolyn Parkhurst, the author of The Dogs of Babel, Lost and Found and The Nobodies Album.

And also, for you Phantom of the Opera fans, Phantom by Susan Kay remains my absolute favorite. Yes, I'm aware this makes me a huge dork. :D

So, if I were to, theoretically, start looking into online freelance writing, what topics would you be interested in reading from me?

Due South.

Why didn't I ever know how absolutely charming that show is? ♥

GUYS! GUYS! WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S ALREADY SEPTEMBER 14???

Okay.

TO ANYONE THAT WILL LISTEN.

[profile] lady_krysis and I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] originalbigbang and WE NEED A BETA. We have until October 14th to get our WIP suitable for posting, and we need help.

We're really kind of terrible. POV switches every sentence, tense remains relatively stable, we have something like a plot, and, oh yeah. it's 23,000 words.

Anyone masochistic enough to tackle this for us?

*begs*

Why are there only two Kenichi/Natsu fics in the entire universe? Obscure animes, I curse you! *shakes fist*

So. I got a kind of awkward e-mail from the [profile] comicsbigbang mods, basically telling me that no one on earth knows Violent Messiahs.

In the spirit of good faith, does anyone want to do anything for my Violent Messiahs story?

W00t! first draft of the Violent Messiahs fic has been finished and sent to [profile] comicsbigbang!

Now to work on the one people actually care about...

ETA: Anyone up to beta? I know [profile] lady_krysis is super awesome that way, but anyone else want to take a shot? It would involve reading 12 issues of an obscure gothy comic from ten years ago, and wading through masses of awful first drafty-ness, violence, and language.

Please?

How, I ask you, am I supposed to finish my writing when I have Final Fantasy 13 in the house?

Okay, so, as Kim, Jon, and Amanda know, it looks like we're starting [community profile] slipping_away over again.

Leslie, you're still going to be our Narcissa, right? And everyone knows you want to play a Hufflepuff. ♥

I am having a hell of a time with writer's block on just about every work in progress I've pulled up over the past two days. I've been told a cure to that might be asking for prompts. So.

Give me a pairing and a prompt, and I'll see if I can write something for it. Remember my fandoms! I don't stray very far from them. :)

I don't have anything to say about the gender thing that many more awesome and eloquent people haven't already said, but--

I do have some invite code if you want them.

Well, shit. Even when I watch my finances, I still suck.

Um. Can anyone loan me, like, 40 dollars? ;__;
