So, apparently I actually do have an ego regarding my writing, which I honestly didn't know I had before.

evanjeline take a look at my half-finished Supernatural fic, since it's from Sam's POV and she has a more solid grasp on Sam and his motivations than I do (surprisingly) and she was all like, "This is right, but WRONG WRONG WRONG!! It's like Dean's looking into Sam's head and you're writing what he thinks Sam is feeling!"
And I was torn between 'well, fine, then you write the damn story!' and 'I should delete it, because I obviously suck.'
Gah. I'm used to writing wangst, but I'm not used to feeling stung because someone thinks my characterization is shaky.
I still don't know if I agree with her.
