I wasn't going to do this, but chzbrgr_of_doom and scheherezhad did such a wonderful job that I simply decided I must try to be as cool as they are. I will fail, but I will try anyway.

You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my comments section. (examples: "Five Reasons Why Draco Is A Virgin", or "Five Things Gwendal Won't Cuddle"). Then, I'll reply with my fantastically clever (or not) responses in list form.

Um. Okay, I'll warn you that I so totally don't have Gar's character down like you do, so just take these with a grain of salt, 'kay?

Five Reasons Gar Didn't go Back to the Titans

1. he couldn't stand the fact that Vic had missed an entire year, and felt guilty for it, even though it wasn't really his fault.

2. He was creeped out by his weird relationship with Raven and needed spiritual cleansing.

3. Tim wearing Kon's colors terrified him, because he didn't know what to say to make sure Tim wasn't going batshit crazy.

4. Being around so many kids gave him self-image issues.

5. Because he was the baby of the Doom Patrol, and thusly, no one expected very much of him. It was easier than being a constant role model.

Oh my god, #5 just killed me dead. Dead. I. need to ponder this heavily. It may require fic.
