Sigh. The Violence Against Women Act didn't pass, because partisanship sucks.
So, for better things, have Batman Villain Mash ups. Trust me. Just look. It's awesome.
Story of the day: Alex, my younger of two cats, has a tendency to kick around a lot of litter when I change the box, just because she's a freak and likes to lay in fresh litter. There's been a pile of litter sitting just outside the box for the last day or so, because I'm lazy and hadn't gotten around to sweeping the bathroom floor again.
Today, when I went into the bathroom, I noticed that one of the cats had peed over the edge of the litter box—which, no big deal, it happens. Usually it's a huge mess, but since the litter that Alex had kicked around had been there, it actually absorbed it, so awesome! \o/ I assumed it was Artemis, because she's fifteen years old and just a mess of old kitty.
But Alex's reaction—if I hadn't figured it was Artemis, Alex's reaction would've cleared it up for me.
Alex follows me into the bathroom because she's a needy kitty who wants my attention when she wants it, and not necessarily when I'm able to give it to her, and she glanced at the pile of wet litter on the floor and freaked the fuck out. Just from her position, I could see her saying what the fuck is that? Then she stalked really close to the box and swatted the wet litter, and then freaked out again because omg she had wet litter on her paws.
I pretty much laughed the entire time I cleaned it up.
