Oh, wow, it's been forever since I've posted, hasn't it? Well, I have a gift for

krysis_ wrote Moriavis/Monochromal slash, and asked "Will you pretty please write me/Kasi?"

So, to the best of my current lack of talent, I have written Kasi/Kim. It is only two parts--there is a third, but it turns the entire thing from slightly!fluffy Kim/Kasi to Fluffy!Kim/Kasi with a dash of unrequited Me/Kim/Kasi. Because I am a whore and cannot help inserting myself when it is these two in particular. <333333

Without further ado:

i. Ultraviolet Bruises

She will say 'hello',
smiling over the steam of a cup of coffee,
and there will be a smile waiting to greet her.
It will happen in the first few moments, I know,
because she loves instantly, completely;
she knows no other way to live.
She will be entranced by the unspoken promise in Kim's eyes,
and for a moment the world around her
will cease to exist.
(she has never seen herself reflected so clearly
and she will know then that it's okay to hurt,
for it will not be allowed to last forever.)

ii. Papercut Scars

Sometimes she speaks a different language,
sees a different world,
and if she really wants something,
it is impossible to deny her.
With one look, she can delve into
the storybook of scars hidden beneath the skin
and find the scarred heart wanting.
But this time will not be that time,
and when she looks at her,
she will whisper her name as though
calling a muse.
She will decide that if love is pain,
this time, she will be willing to bear it.
(and she will know then that it's okay to hurt,
because Kasi will make it beautiful.)

iii. Outside Looking In

It will be easy enough at that moment,
to fade into the background.
(after years of practice, that is one talent
that I have perfected.)
I will see the look in their eyes
and know that it is Love.
I will stand with them silently;
say good-bye with a smile;
turn around and walk away.

(they will not notice the difference.)
