So, today I had the biggest scare ever. Luna, one of my cats, got her eye poked during a scuffle with Artemis about a week ago, and it's been a little swollen and weepy, but it looked like just a normal poke in the eye, so I let it be.

A couple of days ago, I noticed that it was starting to swell again, so I thought, wow, you're totally going to the vet as soon as I get my paycheck, fuck my other bills.

Today, I got up as usual and fed my cats, and everything was normal, and then a couple of hours later I went to get my laptop cord from the living room and found Luna's face COVERED IN BLOOD.

OOZING. FROM HER EYE.

And the damn cat is drinking water and eating her breakfast like she doesn't have BLOOD OOZING FROM HER EYE.

So of course I completely freak out and have a panic attack, and

dungeonmarm was awesome enough to pretty much drop what he was doing and get me to the vet. Thankfully, her eye hadn't exploded like I thought it did, but there was an abscess in her eye. So the vet is keeping her for the afternoon and putting a plastic shunt in her eye, and she should be perfectly fine.

I cried a lot. And had a drink, And

dungeonmarm stayed with me for a while to make sure I wasn't going to freak out any more than I had.

Needless to say, I did not go to work today.

I'm exhausted.

Oh, that is scary. It's crazy how cats can go around acting all normal when something is wrong enough for us to freak the fuck out. :S

There was surgery.

My cat has a plastic tube in her face.

You have no idea how much time I've spent freaking out today. And my dad doesn't help, because he's making jokes about it and complaining about how I'm losing money because of this.

Ugh.
