Spent all weekend with my Dad, who was shocked and pretended to have a heart attack when he found out that no one was coming to visit me this weekend. He's such an overdramatic princess sometimes. :D

Am currently watching three anime and two J-dramas with him. We also watched a hilarious Steven Segal movie titled Against the Dark in which the plot swore everyone was fighting vampires, but they were totally zombies!!! There were guts and flung body parts and eating and no. That's just not a vampire, thanks. On the other hand, they weren't as hard to kill as other vampire/zombie hybrids, so I guess that was a plus. And I finally got to see Blindness. I was nervous about it at first, but I really found it to be a great sociological movie. You know the kind. I kind of want to sit down and take notes and write essays on how easy it is for society to self-destruct. But I'm really too lazy for that.

Randomly, I have a bizarre craving for Mountain Dew. I have an unusual lust for soda this month.

I want to see that movie!

I read the book, and there were a couple of scenes, where I just said, "No."

But it's fascinating, isn't it?

I want to see it, too. I loved the book, aside from those couple of Do Not Want scenes, enough to read it twice. I hardly ever read anything twice anymore.

There's a lot of things that make me uncomfortable in the movie, but the fact that it didn't shy away from it really made it work for me.

Indeed. Also: am I coming by to pick you and Kim up for Yarnaholics again tomorrow?

It's such a fascinating movie. I really want to read the novel and the sequel so I can check out the differences.
