Snowflake Challenge #9
In your own space, promote at least one canon that you adore (old, new, forever fandom). Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I saw this challenge, and my brain immediately blue-screened. Okay, canons I adore? Not quite the same thing as canons I write for.
The Flash. Honestly, it's kind of dumb and has so much pseudo science and bad plotting and you just have to kind of go with it. If you're interested in the coldflash aspect, you really only have to search out the 'Rogue' episodes. (For real. In the first season, for example, 1x04 Going Rogue, 1x10 Revenge of the Rogues, 1x16 Rogue Time, 1x22 Revenge of the Rogues—all Captain Cold Episodes. And I can't forget my favorite episode, 2x03 Family of Rogues.) If you're not there for the coldflash, the first season is really solid, although it's hit or miss from S3 onward.
Kyo Kara Maoh. This is marketed as a harem comedy, about a normal Japanese teenager who loves baseball. He gets flushed down the toilet (yes) and discovers a different world where he is the Demon King. The harem is all guys. There's nothing explicitly BL, but he does get engaged to a guy in the second episode and everyone's in love with him. Find it, if you can! It's by turns touching and funny and cringey and majestic.
NBC's Hannibal. If you like dark and fucked up stories, this is up your alley. Serial killing, cannibalization, manipulation, this one has it all. Single-handedly started my obsession with Mads Mikkelson. So good, even though it likes to pat itself on the back sometimes.
Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. This is such a great reboot of the original She-Ra. Everyone is diverse and the stakes are emotional and the canon has given me everything I want so far. A+, go watch it.

Yup, that's me. There are other Hannibal Lecters out there, but Mads Mikkelsen will always be the only Hannibal for me.
I know about Kyo Kara Maoh, but for some reason I never manage to watch or read any of it.

With Kyo Kara Maoh, you're either going to love it or hate it immediately, I think. It's not something that grows on you.

Yeah, I'm absolutely with you there! With Hugh Dancy, too, if I'm honest. But wow, Hannibal was such a beautifully filmed show!
And you already know about my love for KKM! *g*
