Hey! I still exist!

So, seriously, all this month, I've been thinking about how I have really grown to suck at this whole social media thing, and I got all nostalgic about fandom and LJ and how sometimes (when I was younger) I posted two or three times a day, just because I was so enthusiastic about something that I couldn't wait another second to let all of my online friends know about it and what was happening in my life.

In an effort to at least attempt to get that feeling back, I'm challenging myself to post every day for the next month. I also just realized that it's slightly after midnight for me, so this entry doesn't count for today's post. ^^;;

I have a vague idea of things I want to blog about, but if you guys want to help me out, feel free to give me topics that you'd like to see me talk about, okay?

I've honestly been feeling sort of vaguely internet-lonely, and I really want to get back into the habit of connecting with my community, rather than passively consuming gifs on tumblr. I love you guys!

Sounds good to me. I've been feeling internet-lonely as well, with the exception of instagram, where I found a few nice older ladies with the same love for Gudrun Sjödén, and even a few fan accounts for my current love, Kingsman & Taron Egerton.

I'd love to post more, interact more, as well. But well - there's not much interest in Kingsman here (no comment at all on my last post about it. Because of the fandom? Or because I mentioned RPF?), and I tend to be fandom monogamous for a while when I find something new.

I remember enjoying Kingsman when it first came out, and I did read a few really good Harry/Eggsy fics, but it was very much one of those movies that didn't catch me in a fannish way. I find that movies in general don't really make me all that fannish, actually—it must be because we spend very little time with the characters, unlike television, where we get 10+ hours to really sink into them.

Oh yes, it's mostly the same for me. There are only a few movies that grabbed me in a fannish way. Inception, Skyfall...and now Kingsman. And hey, now we get a second movie! More potential for worldbuilding and character development. And fanworks. *g*

There's no better way to keep a fandom alive than an infusion of new canon.

fanart_recs this month. *g*

Hello! Good luck! I've been holding pretty well to once-a-week posting for the last several years, but I think that's all I can manage...

I'd be happy if I manage once a week going forward. I'm hoping that by challenging myself to post and respond, it'll become habit again.
