Where has the month gone? Ugh.

Aside from work, [personal profile] dungeonmarm and I have finally finished watching Star Trek: Voyager, and made the mistake of trying to watch the pilot episode of Enterprise directly after, so we're taking a break from that until we stop comparing it so much to the other series'. We've remained caught up on both The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, which is genuinely a feat for us, since we fall in and out of watching things all the time.

That being said, we've started watching Prison Break, finally, and there are SO MANY THINGS I like about it already! I've only seen the pilot episode! Michael's twisty, ridiculous mind is absolutely delighting, and I can't wait to see more.

As for Flash and LoT:

That season finale for Flash was terrible? Like, just in a general writing way. Barry is so coded as depressed and traumatized and I love it, and I just wish they'd come out and SAY it, instead of letting it be between the lines. OF COURSE he would go back and try to fix everything by bringing his mother back, because everything that's happened since he came back through that wormhole has been crap. Eddie died, he wasn't only betrayed by Eobard!Wells, he was briefly betrayed by E2!Wells, and of course, betrayed by Zoom, and each time it's resulted in the death of someone he cares about. I didn't doubt for a second that OF COURSE he would destroy his own life trying to get those things back. I'm super excited about what flashpoint means, though, because this should be our first look at what the timeline would have been like without Eobard's influence? I'm glad that Zoom is over now, because although he started out as an intimidating and mysterious villain, he devolved into a cranky child crying about friends, and that's not anything like what I wanted.

Legends of Tomorrow, on the other hand, was one of the strongest episodes I've seen in the season. As much as I love Captain Cold/Wentworth Miller, the writers were really leaning on him to carry the crappy plot and ridic characterization (Kendra/Ray, I will forever give you the side-eye.) But this episode, after his sacrifice, has finally allowed the other characters to shine. Sara finding out about Laurel killed me. Mick desperately trying to fill the void Len left behind by getting himself a new shitty partner. Jax and Clarissa talking about taking Martin and letting him be a hero. Ray tracking down Mick and wedging himself in as Mick's new partner, I just loved it. And it also makes me angry because we should have gotten more of this over the course of the season, instead of what we got. I'm also glad that Kendra got the killing blow, but seriously fighting/killing Savage in three time periods was ridic. On the other hand, The JSA next season, which I already love way more than the Savage plot, so we'll see if they can salvage their potential.

Barry's just so beat down after everything that's happened in this season - and then to be locked in the pipeline by his entire team, and be faced with his father's doppelganger who doesn't know him as anything but the Flash... yeah, his choice followed pretty logically.

I loved the character moments in the LoT finale, but OMG that plot was ridiculous. And I was so sad that they didn't have any Barry there (I was so betting that there'd be the crossover in that ep since they were specifically back in Central City 2016), but I guess the timing wouldn't've worked since Henry just died.

*flails with you* Yes! You started Prison Break! I can't wait to hear what you think of it. Good god the camera loved Wentworth Miller in that series, though - lots of sensual, lingering shots of him. I had to rewind scenes since I'd get too distracted looking at him.
