So, my grandfather died today.

I can't go to the funeral because I would just simply miss too much work, I have a cat and a plant to take care of, and we're in the middle of a struggle with our landlord to get our water pressure repaired after the cold snap burst a ton of pipes in our trailer park.

I had been hoping, but--you know. I guess life just gets in the way.

I'm so sorry for your loss. *hugs*

I understand where you are, too, about the not being able to leave. When my grandmother passed, I was in a similar situation. I worked for an online bank, in phone sales, and over the Christmas holidays, it was really difficult to get any time off approved. I would have needed to fly across the country, which I couldn't afford even if I could get the time off. Didn't happen.

Thank you. I think my therapy for today will be tea and a movie. I'm hoping that will make me feel better. <3
