I can say that without a doubt, it would be the piano. I've always loved the piano.
Back when I was a child in California, my grandparents had a piano in their formal dining room, and occasionally my mom and I would go in there and she'd let me sit at it and try to teach me her favorite song. She couldn't read music, but I can still peck out Beautiful Dreamer on occasion.

My absolute favorite fairy tale has always been The Girl with No Hands. I honestly have no idea why? But I just think it's so interesting that the Miller doesn't try to return the wealth he got from the devil, even though he finds out the devil wants his daughter, and then there's maiming and lying and running away, and a happy ending. I kind of think that the girl in the story is really a victim of abuse, and it's interesting to play with the motivations and actions of those characters. It's also my favorite to re-write. I have at least three separate rewrites of this story currently on my hard drive.

The piano is lovely. I had about six months of lessons -- now I wished I stuck with it, but I was a flighty selfish kid -- and loved it at the time.
My absolute favorite fairy tale has always been The Girl with No Hands.
I've never heard of that. I might check it out.
