I'm not ding this meme, but mostly because I have 2 wips going, and a third that's not started. I learnt a while ago that multiple wips result in many stories not being finished.

(Ha ha, I know what you mean! I gathered together all my wips for this meme and I'd honestly thought I'd deleted some of these. Including this one. :D)

Kate laced up her black combat boots and tied her long red hair into a messy knot at the nape of her neck. She shrugged into a green hoodie and grabbed her backpack, heading down the stairs in a loud, enthusiastic riot of sound. She headed into the kitchen and found her father. "Beth?"

"Beth's headed out with her friends already," he said dryly. "Toast?"

Kate grabbed a piece of buttered toast and took a large bite out of it. She swallowed and dropped a kiss to the top of her dad's head. "Thank you, sir."

"Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Keep an eye on your sister, and have a good day at school."

"I'll do my best, sir." She grabbed the glass of orange juice sitting on the table and gulped it down, setting it into the sink before she headed out the door, finishing her toast as she jogged to her car in the driveway.

Aw, that makes me all nostalgic for the movie. How could you not love a girl who'd flash a teacher to get you out of detention?

Supernatural; Sam/Dean; Dean is Dying (season 3 fic)

Sam turns back to Dean, pulls off his gag, only to hear, "Dude! What did you think you were doing?"

"Uh," Sam says eloquently as he looks around the kitchen, "I thought I was saving you from being baked."

Dean barely has the grace to acknowledge the fact that Sam just saved his ass, and narrows his eyes. "How did you even know she was our nasty?"

"Well," Sam says, rolling his eyes at Dean, "the fact that you were tied up and she was preheating the oven seemed a pretty good indicator."

"You can't just—throw old ladies into ovens whenever you feel like it!" Dean protests.

"Right. I'll keep that in mind for the next time I feel like cooking someone," Sam says, then cocks his head to the side. "You know, you're pretty ungrateful for someone who's all tied up."

"I could get out of these ropes whenever I want to," Dean says defensively.

Sam watches Dean expectantly, crossing his arms over his chest. Dean scowls.

Sam smirks. "Thought not," he says, and leans down to work on the first knot at Dean's wrist.

Really, there's an entire outline of this fic in it's doc, and it just makes me want to headdesk a lot. This meme has definitely reminded me that I want to clean out my wips folder. And also, how have I not finished Exercise in Caution?? *double headdesk*
