Welcome to all the new people on my friends list! It's nice to meet you!
I've kept in mind that I wanted to write more in my journals, so tonight's the first step in that.
dungeonmarm and I watched the last two episodes of Glee and the last episode of SPN tonight. I think I had feels? IDEK.
There's nothing wrong with Benny, and I like Amelia.
That being said, this was the most boring episode of the season. I couldn't care about anything that was going on.
dungeonmarm quit the episode 40 minutes in, and I soldiered through to the end in hopes my continuing perseverance would pay off. Plus, I've never actually skipped an episode, and I wasn't about to start.
Thank god there's going to be more angel politics when they come back from hiatus. NAOMI IS FANTASTIC AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE OF HER.
Somehow, I find myself actively enjoying the fourth season of Glee, but the Thanksgiving episode really drove it in that I'm not all that interested in the new cast. I feel like Marley's plot is an afternoon special, Kitty has no redeeming qualities so far, Ryder isn't bad, but he's not really making an impression on me. But Jake and Wade/Unique! How can you guys be so freaking awesome?
Homeward Bound/Home really felt like a love letter to the graduated students, and I just adored it. I got to hear Mike and Santana sing together!
As for the New York side of things—I don't care what anyone says, Rachel is still my girl. I'm so glad to see her growing up, and for Brody being an adult about Cassandra and the awesome Thanksgiving party they had! And although it felt contrived to have Kurt perform at the Winter Showcase, and even more ridic for Rachel to actually win it, I was happy to be emotionally manipulated. Rachel's performance was so good! And Kurt's version of Being Alive was much better in the episode that it was in his studio version, although I admit the high bar for that song will always be Raul Esparza and it's unfair to always compare other versions to him.
Suffice to say, I'm glad Rachel won and I'm glad Kurt made it into NYADA and I really wish they'd been able to do the New York spinoff, because I would've watched the shit out of it.
In other, less interesting news, I remembered that I hadn't worn earrings in months again, and was annoyed to find that I had to stick a hole in my ear again. Ugh.

I think Blaine cheating was out of character, really, but Darren Criss' face is so woobie that I don't mind him crying all the time. ♥
Besides, I've heard rumors of Santana and Brittany getting back together anyway, so who knows? I'm happy what we have textually three gay characters and one bisexual character as it is--I don't need them to date for me to be happy, although I did like both of those couples.
I just really want Glee to make me care about the new characters, because I did really like Marley at the beginning. It's just that she's too moon-eyed to be believable now. I mean, seriously, the most heinous bitch in the school teaches you to throw up and lose weight? And she thinks Kitty is her friend? I just, IDEK. Dude, get your head out of the clouds and see what your insecurity and Kitty's viciousness have done to you, Marley! Ugh!
I think I'm enjoying this season so much because I've finally reached a point where I hardly take it seriously at all. Cassandra is ridic, Kitty is ridic, Sue is ridic. But I'm really enjoying Finn! I'm shocked. I want Will to still be around as Finn's mentor, but have Finn really take over the Glee Club. And I never thought I'd say that.
The only thing this season needs is MOAR JESSE! :DDDDDD
