wah.

I can't believe that I haven't updated in over a week! *laughs* Not that there's anything particularly interesting going on right now, as always. My glasses broke in the exact same place that my previous frames broke, so my father and I are going to get new frames for me tonight, I hope.

Went to Jonesboro with [livejournal.com profile] nonewwitticisms yesterday for some really, really good Italian. Got the weirdest sunburn patterns because I didn't think to reapply the sunblock. It's not really bothering me that much, though, so I'm okay. Got my hair trimmed a couple of days ago. Went shopping last night with my parents and got into a fight with my father in every single store except for the last one. I hate shopping, and even more, I hate shopping with my parents. It's two hours or more of absolute hell.

Now, I need to take a shower, put moisturizer on my sunburn, and go talk to our landlord about the fact that our air conditioner is puttering out. *sigh*

actually, you're never supposed to put moisturizer on a suburn because it seals the pores of your skin (n.b. to trap moisture) which, in turn, traps the heat that your damaged skin cells are releasing.

thus, your burn is not helped and is potentially made worse, depending on how diligent you are about moisturizing, and how potent said moisturizer is.

what you need to use instead is one of those special sunburn sprays you can buy in any drugstore, which will soothe the burn but not trap the heat. they're, obviously, specially designed.

... so, yeah.

you should go shopping with me. then it would be fun, and any arguments we had would be in play. mwah!

Actually, I never did use any moisturizer on it yesterday. ^^; I don't really need it, anyway. ^^

And I'm a terrible shopper, really. It's just multiplied a thousand times when I'm with my parents. *sigh*
