More original stuff

Once again for [livejournal.com profile] countermelodic's amusement, the metafiction that I wrote for class.

Blythe was in her study cleaning her handgun when the vampire witch Terayna appeared on her windowsill. They stared at each other for a long, silent moment before Terayna jumped lightly onto the carpeted floor. “So we meet again, Denesin,” Terayna inclined her head in a slow, genteel way.

“Well, it seems only logical, as you’re standing in my house,” Blythe countered easily, snapping her clip of bullets into the chamber of her gun. “It certainly took you long enough to get here—

Terayna: Seeing as I fly through the mist, obviously the woman hasn’t been waiting that long. I do so despise hyperbole.

Terayna seemed to float across the floor, her sinuous movements taking her to Blythe’s side in only a few seconds. “You see, Blythe,” Terayna purred, “I prefer to have my revenge sweet, rather than cold.” She pulled Blythe closer and placed her lips on—

Terayna: Just a moment. Why would I wish to place my lips on anything? Why wouldn’t I simply drink her blood and make her my slave? And I most certainly wouldn’t purr either. Not for her, at any rate.

--“You see, Blythe,” Terayna stated softly. “I prefer to have my revenge sweet.” She pulled Blythe closer, grazing her sharp teeth against Blythe’s throat. Blythe froze—

Blythe: I froze? What the fuck are you on? A vampire is grazing my throat—where’s my gun? Why am I not shooting her or setting her on fire or something?”

--Blythe jerked back, raising her gun and aiming it at Terayna’s forehead. Terayna darted like a snake and snatched the gun from Blythe’s hand, tossing it easily to the other side of the room. Blythe’s eyes glowed amber with fury, and flames sprouted instantly, burning Terayna’s skin with an alarming sizzle—

Terayna: Excuse me.

--Terayna smirked as the telekinetic shield she created provided a much-appreciated barrier against the fire. With a soft hiss of breath as her skin began to heal, Terayna took another step forward and pressed her mouth against Blythe’s—

Terayna/Blythe: Hey!!

Blythe: Oh my god, this is disgusting. I’m going to be sick.

--Blythe shoved Terayna angrily, scowling when Terayna didn’t budge at all. Terayna grinned—

Terayna: I. Do. Not. Grin. I am also not… particularly fond of this woman. You would think an author who writes me would have better taste.

--Terayna pushed Blythe against the wall, keeping her still with an arm against her throat. The door burst open suddenly, and Alex and Hasan came through the doorway. “Blythe!” Alex called worriedly; “I heard a lot of noise—oh. Terayna. Let go of Blythe.”

Terayna: Oh, he’s attractive when he’s forceful.

Blythe: Hey, that’s my fiancé you’re talking about. Hands off.

Terayna slinked toward Alex, who watched her apprehensively—

Alex: Wait a minute! Why am I so apprehensive? You make me sound like I’m a deer in the headlights of Train Terayna. Actually, that’s kind of how I feel. Never mind. Carry on.

Terayna: Wait a moment. Who is that…?

--Terayna gave Alex a condescending pat on the head and smiled seductively at Hasan.

Alex: Hey!!

--Terayna gave Alex a small smile and turned to Hasan.

Hasan: …I don’t like her. Make her go away.

--Terayna vanished, and Blythe shot a fist into the air with glee.

Terayna: I think not.

--Terayna reappeared and crept closer to Hasan, her smile wide with feline enjoyment. “Hello, there. Why is someone as lovely as you with Alex, of all people? We could have fun…”—

Terayna: You’re making me sound like a cheap prostitute.

--“Why is someone like you with Alex, of all people?”

Hasan gave her a cold look, straightening his shoulders. “I’m passionately in love with my Alex. Nothing you could ever do or say could remove me from his side.”—

Hasan: No. You don’t have the right to blurt out my most private feelings, you uncaring bitch.

--Hasan crossed his arms over his chest and glared disdainfully down at her. “I don’t like women.”—

Terayna: We’ll just have to change that, won’t we?

--In the next instant, Terayna and Hasan were kissing passionately, hands gripped in hair and tongues battling together. Blythe stood in horror for a moment, and then quickly made her way to Alex’s side. “Perhaps we should go, Alex. Now.”—

Hasan: I am not doing this. This is disgusting. This is against my very nature. Why isn’t Alex stopping this? He’s my King—I’m part of his pack—I’m his Omega, for God’s sake,” –

Alex: Hasan, you can’t talk about the were-pack or your Omega status unless the authoress wants to tell the audience our back story, with the fact that I’m a sexy PI and the king of a pack of were-cougars, and that we’re uniting the entire system of were-packs under one rule, and that we’re pissed off at Terayna because she nearly changed my brother Raven into a vampire after I went through all trouble of going through the gates of hell to get his soul back after his psychiatric patient shot him!

Raven: Hey, I get a cameo! This wasn’t in the original script! *waves*

Hasan: That isn’t the point! You’re leaving me here to be molested!

Alex: Hasan, have you ever been with a woman?

Hasan: No.

Alex: Then, think of this as a learning experience, yeah? And besides, we need to get your Queen, you know, Blythe, out of Terayna’s clutches. Surely you can suffer for that cause?

Terayna: I’ll even purr for you.

Hasan: All right. For my Queen.

Alex: That’s the spirit. Who knows, you might even like it.

Hasan: No. Not after what we did in book three, chapter 12, paragraph five. That was amazing.

Alex: Ah, man. You’re gonna make me blush!

Blythe: Chapter 12? I thought you were with him in Chapter 20!

Alex: Um. Well, Blythe, you see—

Blythe: Forget it, Alex. Can we just finish with this stupid story, please?

--Alex grabbed Blythe, and the two of them made it out of the room and ran down the hall.

Blythe: That’s enough, thank you very much, that’s all we need, put the end!

[the end]
