lunesque: The face of a pale girl with dark hair. Faded text. (Life is a measure of love)

Gah.

Sometimes, my dad gives me a headache. Last night's example:

Dad: (abruptly) Serious Black.

Me: (sad little Harry Potter fangirl that I am) Sirius Black? What about him?

Dad: . . . *stare*

Me: . . . *stare*

Dad: You. You're serious, and you're wearing black.

Me: *headdesk* Oh, but my jeans are blue!

Dad: *laughs madly* Then you're serious black-and-blue!!!

Me: *shoots self*

Every day I find myself surprised by the depth of my yaoi fangirlyness. Yesterday, I started reading [livejournal.com profile] jade1x2's Compromising Positions and although it has quite a few Snape!cliches, it's still fun to read. ^_^ I also got the manga Only the Ring Finger Knows. It was adorable and made me squee. ^^;; Also, at the end of the volume, they talk about NOVELS that OtRFK was based on. After looking exhaustively online for the last hour-and-a-half, I've concluded that none of them are tranlated. And I can't even look at Kannagi's site because I can't read Japanese. *angsts* I really wanted to read more, too...

Also, does anyone know if Selfish Love is any good?

On the other hand, I've also begun watching a ton of anime lately. (My father's actually been watching more than me, which I find astounding.) Wolf's Rain I've discovered, is really good. (yes, I know it's on cartoon network, but I hardly ever watch TV anymore. ^^;; ) Habinae is really good, and so is The Twelve Kingdoms. [livejournal.com profile] evangeline and I have begun watching Full Metal Panic, and my dad just rented the first couple of volumes of Pretear. It's all exciting, I'd almost forgotten what life online was like. *laughs* I'm kidding, really. I only stay online so I can talk to my friends anyway. ^^

Things I have done lately

1. Roleplay with [livejournal.com profile] bruised_easily for [livejournal.com profile] price_of_faith
2. Unpacked my books for my library
3. Lost my wallet. *headdesk*
4. Cleaned my room
5. Reorganzied my CD's.

It's really not so much, looking at it like this, huh? Where does my day go...? Oh. I know.

6. WORK

And last, but not least, I was reading the last issue of Exiles (the world was saved by buying the last cheese danish!) and I have to say:

I really hate Namora.

I was never particularly fond of Namor as a character in the regular Marvel universe, and just because Namora is a blue-skinned babe doesn't really change my opinion very much. Rawr. I miss Nocturne, and I don't care that she's in the regular Marvel universe--I think that was just a cop out because she's such a popular character, anyway. In fact, I really miss Illyana, because they keep killing her! ><

Also, for the people on the X-men letter page of the last issue:

I had faith in Juggernaut all along! He had grown far too much as a character to simply backslide into his place as a two-dimensional tough guy at Black Tom's side. And had certainly grown more than to be pulled into a new Brotherhood. I mean, come on! He got She-Hulk into the sack!

Also. Northstar + Juggernaut = x-men slash OTP like whoa.

And finally.

Jean Grey? Why won't you diiiiiiiiie? AND STAY DEAD??

Scott's much better with Emma, anyway. (=^_^=)

Oh, god, I hate her so much. I normally like the arrogant, rude characters, but she rubs me the wrong way on every level. My guess would probably be that Sasquatch is next, too, since Blink, Mimic, and Morph are really the 'heart' of the team. And besides, we still haven't found out what happened with Blink in that dimension with Sabertooth!! (although, admittedly, we often don't get neatly tied continuity if they want to get rid of a character.)

I love that Jean Grey parody idea! I'd probably buy a thousand copies and distribute. ;) I don't really know why I dislike her so much, but my personal belief is that they should have killed her in the Dark Phoenix Saga and never brought her back. That was such a beautiful ending, and they always cheapen it by bringing said dead person back. They did the exact same thing with Colossus. (I personally loved the way he died, and bawled over him.)

... of course, I'm such a huge Magik fan that I wish they'd kill Amanda Sefton and bring Illyana back. ^^;;;;

rrowr? Colossus is back? When did this happen? Jesus; all they can do now is have Gwen Stacy show up and be all "Ha ha I was only FAAAAAAAAking!"

Oh, yeah, check... is it the Astonishing X-men? I can't quite remember. It's the one that Joss Whedon is writing. The one where they were talking about the cure to the mutant gene--well, using that research, they experimented on Colossus' body and brought him back to life. Kitty was the one who found him, and it was actually really touching, if you can get past the fact that Peter was dead.

And I think they tore the Gwen Stacy thing up to death with the Clone Saga in Spiderman. I know there was at least one Gwen!clone. Maybe two...?
