Wow, it's always fantastic to be online, now. I totally got used to having it there 24-7 when my laptop was working.
At any rate, this week I have been--working. Yep. And writing. I'm still pretty boring. But! A temporary disaster has happened at my work, which I think is really awesome. As anyone who's followed my journal would know, I'm a telephone customer service representative at ICT, and my center is basically outsourced customer service for Barclays, a credit card company.
Well, the L.L. Bean Visa has been transferred from Bank of America to Barclays. Silly them, they expected it to be like any normal card launch, but it hasn't been. The interest in the new L.L. Bean card is phenomenal. Apparently Bank of America really sucked, hardcore.
So they immediately cross-trained us, so now, instead of taking customer care calls, we're actually taking application calls. And I love it. It's going to break my heart when we go back to regular customer service.
On the other hand, that means that I've gone through four different training classes--the one for mortgages in Washington Mutual, the original Barclay's training, retention training, and now application training. I'm kind of surprised how much training I've had over the past year.

scheherezhad and lady_krysis tomorrow! I feel spoiled by all the people-age. I haven't seen this many people so often, so regularly, since high school. ♥
