I don't really, particularly care about the project, except that I totally get why girls are worried about it, even just outside the con atmosphere. It's a little creepy. But then, I find the idea of someone wanting to *touch* my breasts to be an alien concept anyway, so. I don't know. Eh. ^^
I think it was one of those things that began as harmlessly as he claims but, if you were not there, it's suddenly at least awkward and at most terrifying.
I think I would've been one of the ones going, "LOL YES TOUCH MY BOOBS," but I also understand that I and my close group of friends are much more comfortable with our bodies and sexuality than the average person. Not even in the sense of self-esteem, but in the sense that sexuality itself is nothing to be afraid of. Also that sex and sexual playfulness, no matter if it's innocent boob-gropage or hardcore monkeyfucking, is fucking hilarious.
Sexual playfulness is awesome. I think that's one of the things that keeps life from being boring. And by life, I mean fic. Because real touching, what? I = lame.
There was a time when I would have participated... though now I'm not so sure. I certainly find it interesting and don't see what all the fuss is about.
Ha ha ha. Oh, the gropes in the Denny's parking lot. I have a lot to blame you for. :P
I get the fuss in the way that it is objectification to look at a woman as a sexual object first and foremost before anything else, and if it gets out of hand and goes beyond the con atmosphere, it really could be dangerous. Most women have enough to fend off without having to worry about provisional permission taken out of context and having to worry that the freedom in their sexuality would end up being something taken advantage of.

And for the record, I think the OSBP is kind of neat, myself, and would be likely to participate in a comfortable environment.
