Just a few things about Supernatural:
Oh, god. Where to even start?
* I've had that stupid Asia song stuck in my head since last night.
* Did anyone else melt into a puddle of 'Oh, Dean!' when Dean was gargling and did that sly look at Sam from the corner of his eye? Please say it wasn't just me. But, you know, even if it was only me, I'm totally okay with that.
* It's obvious from the moment they step into that diner that everyone kills Dean at least once in this episode.
* Mystery spot! Hee. ♥
* Dean's dead! Take one.
* Did anyone else giggle madly at the way Sam said Dean's name after the axe incident?
* Oh, Sam. Over a hundred deaths for Dean. Groundhog Day!Sam is the greatest thing ever. Seriously.
* Dude. I felt sorry for that dumb dog until he ripped Dean's throat out.
* Gah! I'm so glad it's the trickster! I love the trickster!
* Sam just keeps breaking my heart tonight. Oh, when he realizes it isn't going to start all over again and Dean really is gone, it's just. Wow. Jared Padalecki totally wins this episode, for serious.
* Okay. Wow. This glimpse of what it would be like for Sam when/if Dean dies is amazing. And his self-surgery shouldn't be as hot as it is. But omg. Sam the super hunter. Guh.
* Oh, Bobby. How is it possible to love a scraggly old redneck so much?
* Bobby and Sam and that ritual. I was really teetering here.
nonewwitticisms and I were both like, 'well, obviously it's the trickster.' But then it just kept going on and on and I admit I wavered. Sam, so willing to do anything to get Dean back. Love. So sure that what he was doing was right, until he wasn't sure at all and then it would've been too late. And the trickster almost being kind of sympathetic.
* THE HUG!! I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ALL EPISODE!!!
In conclusion, I can't imagine how this is going to change Sam. And I really, really hope that it is, and that the PTB won't push it aside and pretend as though this never happened. It was so powerful and painful-- it hit the same chord in me that What Is And What Should Never Be managed to hit in season 2. An an alternate, amusing note, it's funny that my two favorite episodes were single character related. Dean has obviously always been my favorite, but focusing on Sam like this, it really gave me a new appreciation for him. And I'm grateful for that. Oh, boys! *squish*
Also, did the full night Supernatural event next Thursday sound like a season finale to you too?
Lastly, someone should write me a lot of porn for this episode. There were tons of places where it could have happened. I would write it myself, except if I did I couldn't enjoy it. *____*
