1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.
1. What are your top three comfort foods?
Oh, this is easy.
1) French fries. (Potatoes, really, but yes. French fries especially.)
2) Chocolate
3) Miso soup
2. Do you have any bulletproof kinks in fic? If so, what are they?
Oh, yes. I am, of course, operating under the assumption that these are well written. ^_^ there are three specifically that have never failed me:
1) Kissing. There is something incredibly amazing about a really, really well-written kiss that sometimes I find more erotic than any of the porn that I read.
2) Biting. It's totally all about marking and possession and selfishness for me. It's just. Yeah. Wanting someone so much you want to devour them. Mmm. ♥
3) Rimming. Yeah. I've no idea. I really don't much care for it, intellectually, and I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't actually want anyone to do it to me, but every time I run across it, my toes curl with yay. It's ridiculous. *laughs*
3. If you had to work for a company within any comic book universe, which company would you choose, and why?
Oh, god. I really don't know. If it were DC, I'd probably go with S.T.A.R. Labs, just because there's so much there. Seriously. And you'd get to poke all the supervillans that come through and maybe help prevent the end of the world!
Of course, there's always Tabula Rasa from the new Gen-13 series. Because nothing gets me like government subterfuge and working under the radar for the bad guys. ^_^
4. You are selected to choose a national bank holiday to the month of August because, dammit, we want a day off that month, too. What would your holiday be?
Just because I like obscure, I would make August 21st Benigno Aquino Day, to celebrate the catalyst of the ESDA Revolution of 1986. Of course, people would be like, why the heck are we celebrating a Philippine senator, and then I would say that he was the opposition/opponent of an autocrat! How can it possibly be more American?!
(Really, I just bs'd that whole thing, because. Bank holidays? What? *headdesk*)
5. What is your favorite tongue-twister?
A part of me wants to say that 'She sells seashells by the seashore' is my favorite, but I think I'm just loyal to it because of all of my speech classes when I was little. I really think that it's 'Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers; A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked; If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?' ♥ ♥ ♥
1. "Why is slash/yaoi/boysex your main thing?"
Do you know how many times I've been asked that question? *laughs* Seriously. Let me try to think of a decent answer. I suppose slash is my main thing just for the sheer volume of conflict. I've always enjoyed impossible love stories. And I mean, you know, straight couples have their problems too, but it's different. In slash, you not only have the normal whatever-the-plot-is-in-relation-to-the-love things going on, but usually it's *everything* against them. Society, family, sometimes even friends. The sheer uncertainty and heartbreak of knowing you're really not normal, and not knowing if anyone you know shares how you feel. And I like my guys especially just because of the ways guys are brought up. Even though I think it's crap, guys really are kind of taught to hide how they feel, and the fact that they're uncommunicative and stubborn and difficult when they're with *girls* and it's okay, it just makes it that much better when they're *guys* and just nothing seems to work out, and you know that if they just communicated, it would be easier. I just have an all consuming love for difficulty.
2. What are your two least favorite body parts? Not on you, but just on people in general. Why?
Two body parts? Er. I hate feet. Because they're weird and hairy and smelly and if I didn't need to walk and I didn't want to terrify Amanda I'd be happier without them. The second body part is…um. I don't know. I only really hate one body part. Noses are kind of strange, though. Does that count?
3. Write me at least four lines of lullaby lyric. This isn't a question so much as a request. Lines consisting purely of nonsense (apparently 'nonce' doesn't mean what I thought it did) are fine, but don't count toward the four-line minimum. Since this is an unsolicited request, you don't have to include it with the other answers. I can wait.
What is it with people wanting me to write songs? I'm not a lyricist! >:O
4. If you could be any character in any of the awful television shows that we watched together, who would you be and why? No anime answers, except maybe KKM.
I really don't know. I don't think I'd want to be anyone. Are you going to try to force me to answer? Because I really can't think of a single one. Maybe Herbal, because he had such a great outlook on life. Maybe.
5. If we were just characters in your brain, what would be your Jon/Rachel friendship song? Why? More than one song would be fine.
You know, I've been looking for a Jon-and-Rachel song forever, but haven't found one yet. We're just not special enough to have a song.
1. What is the meaning of Life?
42, of course. :)
2. If you could only choose one comic book to collect each month which one would it be?
Oh, such hard choices. At the moment, it would totally be Gen-13, but that would be topped by Kabuki hands down, if that ever came out on a regular schedule.
3. What book/manga/comic would you want made into a movie? Who would be cast in it?
OMG, it would totally be Violent Messiahs. Some brilliant-but-heretofore-unknown actor would play Job, I could see (just based on looks because I don't know if she can act) Angie Harmon playing Cheri, Robert Duvall, Anthony Hopkins, and, maybe, Clint Eastwood as the creepy old guys, and Mark Warren to play Jeremiah. Maybe. It's difficult. *_*
4. What other era would you want to live in [in any country] if you weren't living in this one?
Other era, you say? None, really. There's a lot I'd like to visit, but if I actually had to stay? I'd probably want to die. Nearest I can think is some nebulous time in the future. I'd love to be in an era that's slightly more Star Trek-y. Yes, I am a geek. *headdesk*
5. If you could have one television set as your real home/apartment/whatever, which show would it be from?
I'm really in love with Isaac Mendez's loft in Heroes It's so stark, but there's so much space and light.

Also, biting ftw. It is one of my most favorite things for my boys.
Bank holiday = holidays on which banks are closed, which generally correspond to other working schmoes having the day off.
So there is my casual comment. Ask me questions if you so desire.
