This pairing appeals to me in so many ways. First, in my silly little brain I have to keep shrieking 'It's canon! It's canon!' and it gives me happy thrills each time. I love it so much! I love the fact that Ianto was able to go from that (sometimes, I think) unhealthy love for Lisa, and find some measure of happiness with Jack, and I love the fact that Ianto's affection to Jack doesn't override his sense of duty. I could also go on and on about Jack's Jesus qualities, but why? Jack is love, Ianto is love, and together they make me one very happy fangirl. ♥!

Wincest OMG. You and Jon just want to kill me with pairing love. *_* There are two big draws for me with wincest. One is the incredible amount of angst that show can stuff into those characters, and the other is how they are so obviously brothers. There's a level of dumbassery that Sam and Dean can get to that I normally wouldn't like in another pairing, but just work for me when they're at the helm. And especially with Dean sacrificing himself in the second season, and Sam's obsession to save Dean in the third, and it's all so good. Really, I've noticed that my pairings are all like, I like them because they make me happy. Sam and Dean are a perfect example of that.

Ship, when used like this, would be better written as 'ship, because is it a shortening of relationship.

For instance. If one were a crazy Lord of the Rings fan, their favorite ship might be Aragorn and Arwen. Ship and pairing are synonyms.
