I bought three Neil Gaiman books at Hastings that I didn't have last night, as it completely slipped my mind that there would be Neil Gaiman merchandise at his appearance. There was so much, but they only accepted cash, which meant (luckily for me, really) that I could get nothing. ;_;
As for the actual appearance... I can only say that he is really inspiring. Coherent, funny, and just. Amazing. I love him. And I love the fact that he read us all an unpublished story!! ♥
I, since I am lame, was too shy to go get his autograph, but Zarita was nice enough to stand in line and get it for me. Absolutely lovely.
However, because I was a writer in the presence of a fantastic, published and award-winning author, I swung violently between moods of complete elation and utter worthlessness.
I have mentioned I'm lame, yes?
