I want to talk about some good stuff, so here's a list in no particular order:

* [personal profile] dungeonmarm recently got a corn snake named Linda. She's very pretty, but very new and very shy. When I was younger, I was terrified of snakes, but she's a tiny noodle and I am a human adult, so I think I can handle it. However, while we were at Petco to get her a few things, I discovered a lovely betta fish and impulsively chose to bring him home. We are now a four pet household.

* A few weeks ago, we bought a bird feeder, because we've apparently turned into that kind of household. I've taken to sweeping the seeds dropped on our patio out beneath the fence in front of our apartment, and little sunflower sprouts have started to peek out of the dirt. It's charming to see them grow.

* Work has me at home until at least April 11th. I feel like I'm getting a taste of retirement, and I will be very bitter when I have to go back. On the other hand, I'm also super appreciative. TJ Maxx is treating their workforce really well in comparison to a lot of other places.

* I'm trying to get back into writing for Camp Nanowrimo after so many months without a steady writing habit. Sometimes I forget how much I enjoy writing because I have stress and guilt over not putting out the next chapter of my WIPs. Oh well, I'm sure every writer has that guilt.

* On Sunday my rl friends and I are going to do a Session Zero of Vampire the Masquerade. I'm not entirely a fan of DM'ing, but for some reason I really like playing around with different rule sets and game settings. I'll worry about what I'm going to do for our game after the session zero.

* On the D&D front, my character Kauthiel died in our last session. I"m okay with it now, but wow, there was so much crying from everyone. It was the saddest freaking thing. DDD: RIP Kauthiel, we love you.

I have to say, it makes me feel good to know that TJMaxx is taking care of their workforce--I love TJMaxx, and there are so many other places I (used to) like that aren't going to be getting my money any more after this. I'm glad you're getting to stay home and not be exposed to everyone.
