Yesterday, I felt like I'd adulted so much! And then I realized I only did three things. ^^;;
* I had an optometrist appointment with a glaucoma specialist in Little Rock, and was told by the optometrist and the technician that I had really abnormal optic nerve pathways, but that it was probably due to being a premature baby and not actual glaucoma. (The spot where the optic nerve goes through the hole in the back of your eye? Mine are really big, and they've been that way for years.) So I have an appointment next year to keep checking it, and I didn't have a copay for a specialist, so double win.
* After my dad took me home (He's retired now, so he thinks its his job to drive me everywhere.) we had lunch at a local Japanese restaurant, and then went to Home Depot so I could get a sink snake for my clogged bathroom sink. Then I unclogged my sink and cleaned my toilet, which was basically everything I had energy for.
*Things I should do today—do the dishes, take out the trash, sweep my bathroom, place my new bathmats and throw out my old one, and maybe vacuum? That might be wishful thinking.

I've been through this a few months ago! My eye doctor told me my optic nerve looked really abnormal and potentially damaged, and she did an expensive OCT test to measure it before telling me there's a chance it might be early stage glaucoma and we'd have to re-measure it in a year. I was in a total state of panic about it, but when I went to see the other eye doctor for an emergency appointment re: my current issues, I told him and he said it was nonsense. Yes, my optic nerve looked pseudo-glaucomoic but apparently that's fairly common in people with strong myopia.

I've seen my optometrist more times in 2018 than I have the last three years combined, it's ridiculous. He's already getting onto me for not keeping my eyes properly lubricated, but—eyedrops, three times a day? UGH.
I know you've had a lot of crazy eye issues over the last couple of months. Is anything improving?

I went up to the window, and the tech was like...hmmm. It's either zero or twenty. and I asked, will you send me a bill? And she agreed. So, who knows? Maybe free, maybe twenty bucks. I'm happy either way. :D

Why do you have to use lubricating eyedrops? Do you have issues with dry eyes as well? Did the crop up suddenly or did you always have them.
No real improvement so far. It seems to be getting slightly better and then worse again with my cycle, which is weird. My current theory is that either the thyroid meds I took for a few months played havoc on my hormones or it's all stress-related. At least that's what I'm hoping, because the alternatives are scary. :( It's just so frustrating. I was fine this summer, and suddenly I can't live a normal life anymore and no one knows what's causing it.

All my sympathy on your health issues. :(((( It's bad enough to have symptoms because of something, but to have something your doctors can't seem to diagnose is both terrifying and not helpful. Here's hoping it's the thyroid medications and that you'll get back to normal once they get out of your system? ♥
