OMG, I can't believe I haven't posted since JANUARY. What the hell?
I want to say I've been completely burned out by work, and that's 98 percent true, but IDK.
I try to steer away from politics in my journal because I talk about them a lot in real life, I'm behind on all of my television, I've been writing more coldflash fic--and let me say here, I've never had an OTP that actually made me so prolific, The Flash officially has the most stories I've ever written, including Harry Potter--but I've also been stressing about stories I haven't been able to finish.
So that's my life: wake up, work, write coldflash, go to sleep.
As for my actual daily life,
dungeonmarm and I have joined a gym, since they're trying to be healthier and it's encouraging me to do the same.
I've been watching Legion, Emerald City, and the K-drama Goblin with my Dad. LEGION IS SO GOOD, GUYS. Is anyone else watching it? It's dark and trippy and has great aesthetic and I wish all x-men properties were treated the same, because it is AMAZING.
My dad and I went to see a Green Day concert on March 8th. Against Me! was their opening act, and I was thrilled that we got to see a trans woman punk rocker in the middle of deeply conservative Arkansas. Not to mention how unashamedly liberal Green Day themselves were. It was a balm to me, for real.
Little Rock has had a theater undergoing renovation for the last couple of years called Robinson Theater, and their first show since they reopened was Phantom of the Opera--which of course, was super formative for me, and my dad was super awesome and got us tickets to that, too. Now, I've been passionately purist about PotO (No phantom will ever, ever beat michael crawford, ever) and I did see it on Broadway when I went with
dungeonmarm several years ago, so I didn't expect the national tour to be better than that. I was right, of course--our Raoul was kind of grating--but Christine was awesome, and the guy who played the Phantom was the same guy who played Dracula in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so I was very surprised and interested. LOL
Let's see... next week, Dad and I are going to do ANOTHER thing (can you tell my dad is lonely without me living there? I see him at least twice a week, for real.) We're going to see a Tom Petty concert, which I'm actually pretty excited about, so that's pretty cool.
Aaaaand it's camp nano this month, so I'm steadily chipping away on my word count there.
So how is everyone? I've been faithfully reading my friends page, even if I've had nothing to really say. I need to start jotting notes of various things that happen so I can actually remember to tell everyone. <3
