First: a couple of things about

* I'm getting fonder and fonder of Sweets. I still wish he had been Gormogon's apprentice, though.

* Booth and Bones are lovely together, as usual.

* I'm getting annoyed with Cam's attitude with Hodgins. DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT WORKPLACE BEHAVIOR, SLUT-FACE! I miss Dr. Goodman.

* Zaaaaack! I'm glad to hear rumors that this isn't the only time we'll see you. Also, having your confession that you didn't actually kill anyone makes a lot more sense with your characterization. Finally, consistency. Plus: Everyone missed you so much!

And now: *cracks knuckles*

* Whee, female hunter! Dead female hunter. Christ, that was fast. Not cool. At least she wasn't a black female, I guess, although, Tamara survived, so that might have upped Nameless Female Hunter's chances.

* Ha! Dean isn't keeping any secrets from Sam about his angel buddy. I just don't trust Sam anymore; he's too much of a loose canon. And I notice he still hasn't said anything about Ruby. Not cool, Sam, for serious.

* We're really getting slammed upside the head that DEAN! IS! NORMAL! Of course he's normal--he just has the antichrist for a brother and an angel that's dragged him out of hell. Pfft.

* Yay Henrickson!

* Ooh, brands!

* Blah blah blah, BOBBY~

* Did anyone else get the feeling that Bobby should've been dead by the time the boys got back to his house? Because it was the middle of the night and then it was bright day time and my heart was in my throat like, sixty times because I felt for sure they were going to kill Bobby for sure. I'm glad that they didn't kill him, but... they should have. I have to just trust that Bobby was that cool even though he dropped one of his iron things right at the stairs and the ghost girls acted completely ooc as compared to the rest and how quickly all the other ghosts wanted to kill things.

* Wow, it's Meg! I actually liked you better when you were a demon! And that depresses me. And yes, we need to know your life story while you're kicking the crap out of Dean.

* Rise of the Witnesses! Revelations! I'm amused by how completely biblical we're going this season. On one hand, I like it. On the other than, this really messes with my concept of spn mythology.

* Bobby's supernatural panic room = YES.

* Awww, Ron. I love the fact that Dean talks to everyone.

* Dean called Henrickson Victor! My shippy heart bleeds. And aw, man, don't tell me that they suffered. That's totally not what I want to hear. Also, Henrickson's hand through Dean's chest shouldn't be so hot. But that little slide of his eyes to the side when Sam's shotgun came into view was awesome.

* Our boys win against the ghosts yay! \o/

* Mmmmm, Castiel. Yes, Dean, show him some respect. Preferably by dropping to your knees. Wow. *licks screen* Mischa Collins, continue the porn eyes, because, dude. It's hot.

* I understand both their point of views, here, and really, I empathize more with Dean, but that's just because I have a very loose faith of my own. But. Castiel. I'm actually a little surprised by the depth of my reaction to him, because anyone who knows me knows it's just been Sam and Dean all the way, because they love and they're so twisted and they hurt each other and are desperate to keep each other and a million other things.

But Castiel is just so. Sweet. And earnest and faithful that he's maybe stolen my heart. And the porn eyes certainly don't hurt.

I was reading an interview with the actor, and he says that Castiel hasn't really ever had contact with any humans, and that explains a lot. His fascination with how flawed Dean is, how he saved Dean but can't understand why he hasn't SAVED Dean, his complete and utter belief in the face of Dean's disbelief-- and that little bit killed me, when Dean was asking him where god was when all this crap was happening, and he falls back on 'god works in mysterious ways' because he can't give Dean the answer Dean wants, wasn't built to answer the way Dean wants, and ugh. Angels weren't given free will, and I wonder if Castiel envies Dean that at all? If he even understands? Because obviously Dean doesn't. And Dean's fervent disbelief of God must feel like rejection of everything Castiel holds dear, and I hurt so much for them. Because the angels are quite possibly losing the war, and I can totally get Castiel thinking it was unnecessary to chase after Dean because Dean is one of their Champions, and wanting at least Dean's considerations for the scope of the battle they're waging.

And I still can't get over the feeling that Castiel is on the wrong side. Or the right side, with incredible consequences for humankind. And it kills me, because I love him intensely. And Castiel, I believe, loves Dean with all of his angelic, warrior heart, because not only is humankind technically God's favored creation, but because he was enough, special or ordinary or otherwise to be redeemed.

I don't know if any of that is even coherent. *flaily arms*

ETA: Castiel's favorite song is Rachmaninov's Vespers. *desperately in love*

* Now. Lilith. Unlocking the 66 seals to release Lucifer? Why? We've consistently gotten the info that Lilith wants to rule. Where does Lucifer fit into that? If she releases him, he will become the leader of all that's unholy, and she will at best be a second in command. Is she that desperate to get rid of Sam that she's willing to risk that? Or even assuming Lucifer would pick Lilith to be his second? Or-- could Lucifer technically be a red herring, a chess piece on a greater celestial board to keep God's forces busy while she secretly unfolds her real plan? I don't know. I don't think we have enough information on that, other than what is strictly agnostic and biblical text that spn mythology has the potential to turn on its head. For all we know, Lilith and Lucifer could be one huge ass demonic love story, but I would prefer not to think that. And the fact that she's attacking several seals at a time must mean her forces are huge, and Dean and Sam can't just wait for a seal to break and then deal with the consequences. Sam needs to let Dean in on what he's been doing, because it's linked to him. Every move Lilith has made has been in direct opposition to Sam, and I don't see why this is any different.

* Next ep: Caldwell is the Winchester grandpa! That tickles me like crazy. Also, more info on the YED. I'm excited. And CASTIEL IS THERE. IMPALA PRON PLEASE.
